The Library of Congress provides an outline of its classification system, which is used at the Thompson Library. Each class below is broken down into subclasses, e.g., Class Q (Science) contains subclasses Q (Science in general), QA (Mathematics), QB (Astronomy), QC (Physics), and so on. Click on any class to see its subclasses.
