The Writing Center is open but only to virtual appointments either as an e-tutoring session or a live online session.
- E-tutoring: An asynchronous session that is conducted during the student's appointment time. The student would need to upload a plain Word doc, or shareable with link Google doc to their appointment time, and the tutor will use the Word or Google doc comment feature to provide feedback. Once finished, the tutor will either upload it back to the appointment if it's a Word doc, or the student can see their feedback in their Google doc after the appointment is finished. Unfortunately, students will not be able to communicate with the tutor using this method. We recommend students provide their assignment sheet, questions, and an explanation of what they would most like feedback on to help the tutor provide feedback.
- Live-Online: The scheduling system allows for synchronous web-based video chat. After the student has made their appointment and uploaded their Word document, they can re-open the appointment and click "Join Session," and talk live with a tutor.
You can make an appointment online through their website and find video tutorials on navigating their booking system.
