The University of Michigan - Flint transitioned to an electronic method of submitting masters and doctoral theses. Newly submitted theses will be available in both the Deep Blue Depositories and Proquest's Dissertations and Theses Global database.

Follow these steps:

  1. Have your committee sign off on your work.
  2. Ensure that your document meets Deep Blue's Accessibility Standards.
  3. Submit your thesis through Proquest's ETD Administrator. The Graduate Programs Office has a guide on the UM-Flint Intranet to on this process.

After you complete your submission, a librarian will download your thesis from the ETD Administrator and submit it to the University's institutional repository, Deep Blue Documents. We will also print a copy for binding so that we have a physical copy as well.

Any questions about this process can be directed to Liz Svoboda, esvoboda@umich.edu.
