How do I get DVDs and videos from the UM-Ann Arbor libraries?
Answer
Films and videos at the Ann Arbor campus are housed in the Askwith Media Library, on the 2nd floor of the Shapiro Undergraduate Library. The collection is in closed stacks, but you can find visual materials in the Ann Arbor catalog of Mirlyn.
UM-Flint faculty and staff can have Askwith Media Library materials sent to the Flint campus using the Advanced Booking module in Mirlyn. Look up an item in the Askwith Media Library, go to the holdings, click the Advanced Booking button, and login using Kerberos authentication.
UM-Flint students can check out up to three items in person (one time, no renewals), or view them in-house. For in-house viewing, you should call in advance for an appointment (and to allow them time to retrieve the video from storage in some cases).
