Answer
To access restricted library databases from off campus, you must have a UM-Flint uniqname and LAN/campus password.

Whenever you want to use a restricted library resource, simply click on the link. If you are on campus, you will go directly into the resource. If you are off campus, a Thompson Library login screen will appear; enter your uniqname and LAN/Flint campus password, click “login,” and you should be able to use the resource.
| If you have a link to a resource (e.g. an article you emailed yourself from a database) and it doesn't let you in from off campus, you may need to add information to the web address. You can do this with a bookmarklet. |
There are some resources and services that don't use the LAN password:
- Mirlyn: You can search Mirlyn without logging in; however, some functions (such as permanently saving information) requires your Kerberos/Ann Arbor password.
- Interlibrary Loan:. This requires your Kerberos/Ann Arbor password for login.
- Get This:. This requires your Kerberos/Ann Arbor password for login.
- UM-MEDSEARCH:. This requires your Kerberos/Ann Arbor password for login.
